If you need some additional support, there are lots of people at Irlam and Cadishead Academy who can point you in the right direction.
We have monthly wellbeing mental health drop-in sessions and a self-care wellbeing ideas area shared every Monday on the daily slide.
We have a counselling service available to all students at the Academy. Referrals can be made by students, parents, or staff.
If you would like to talk to the counsellor at the school, please speak to a member of the Safeguarding Team.
There are two weekly drop-in sessions with our counsellors where you can have some one-off support, learn more about counselling or make a self-referral.
Referrals are triaged regularly and once our mental health support team has reviewed the referral, we will either refer you to our in-school counselling service or one of our visiting professionals from local services including 42nd Street, i-Thrive or our School Nurse.
You will be placed on a waiting list and when a space becomes available, contact will be made, and sessions arranged. These may occur during school depending upon the service offered.
