Curriculum

In order to support our learners in their academic and personal development, we believe it is essential they experience a wide range of opportunities. Consequently, we look to ensure our curriculum is broad, balanced, relevant and personalised. Our commitment to 'education with character' provides wider opportunities for our students to access a well-rounded curriculum that extends learning beyond the classroom.

We are committed to realising the potential of all our learners, irrespective of background or disadvantage, and we tailor opportunities for all pupils, including those with SEND.

Covid-19 Curriculum Update

During lockdown ICA staff and students worked hard to provide a comprehensive online curriculum. Now we have all of our students back in school we have worked tirelessly to ensure that our long term curriculum plans have been quality assured to identify those areas that will need re-teaching in order to consolidate our online learning provision, as well as ensuring that new curriculum content is delivered rigorously to drive progress for all.

Each curriculum area tab provides further details of the content being delivered and is constantly reviewed and updated to ensure we are meeting the needs of our students.

In the event of a further lockdown, or should any student need to isolate, we are uploading all of our resources on to our Microsoft Teams platform and ensuring we are prepared to deliver a blended curriculum should the need arise.
