Transport

Irlam and Cadishead Academy is conveniently located in the centre of Irlam. Students should enter through the student entrance at the back of the building on MacDonald Road, M44 5LH.

We expect students to conduct themselves properly and respectfully while traveling to and from the Academy, whether they are on foot, using public transport, or other means.

Travelling by Bike or Scooter

It is great to see so many of our students using their bicycles to get to and from the Academy and we have a bicycle shed onsite where students can store their bikes when in lessons.

Please ensure your child uses their bicycle safely and uses a bicycle helmet to protect themselves should an accident occur.   Students should also bring a bike lock to lock their bikes/scooters in the bike shed.

We would also like to remind all our students that they must not ride their bicycles on the footpath and should observe all aspects of the Highway Code. Students should also bring a bike lock to lock their bikes/scooters in the bike shed.

Travelling By Car

Parents and carers can drop their children off at the back of the building on MacDonald Road, M44 5LH.

Travelling By Train

For those using public transportation, ICA is a 4-minute walk from Irlam Station, making the train a convenient option.

Travelling By Bus

If your child prefers the bus, we are on the routes of the 100 and 67 buses. Information about child travel passes can be found here.
