The purpose of Irlam and Cadishead Academy uniform is to ensure that students are able to present themselves in a smart manner with a degree of commonality. We aim to maintain a high standard of dress at all times and expect uniform to be worn smartly (e.g. ties tied and worn correctly, shirts tucked in, skirt at knee length etc.).
We welcome parental support in ensuring that students adhere to this expectation.
If your child has outgrown/no longer needs any items of uniform that are still in good condition, we would love for them to be donated to the Academy - where we can make good use of them. Whilst we have some brand-new items available, at times we need more.
We thank you in advance for your kindness and support. We are certain that some of our families will be truly appreciative.
1.4 million wearable school uniforms are thrown away each year. If every school child in England wore a second-hand uniform in September, we would save the equivalent annual energy use of over 20,000 homes or over 40,000 cars.
GROWN out of it offers a free online service to list, sell or buy second hand uniforms. It’s completely free and 100% of any sale/sales go straight back to the seller. Simply register or sign in HERE to get started.
