Irlam and Cadishead Academy are delighted to be confirmed as the host venue for Greater Manchester’s United Teaching ‘Train to teach’ event, taking place on Tuesday 21^st January 2020. Preparations are well underway to welcome prospective teachers looking to kick start their career in the classroom.

Our beloved Man on the Bench sculpture has now arrived back home at Irlam Station. He has been away for some time being cast in bronze following the successful fundraising campaign to get him back on his feet, thanks to the support of our academy students and staff working in partnership with the Hamilton Davies Trust and our wider Irlam and Cadishead community.

A group of former school students are set to compete in the MBNA Chester Marathon on Sunday 6 October in order to raise funds for our school charity The Jamie Horrocks Trust; a trust that was set up in memory of their much-loved school friend Jamie Horrocks.
