Our ‘Aspire’ curriculum encompasses all enrichment activities, careers, enrichment days, and opportunities for students to become leaders.
Our enrichment activities run throughout the year and a termly calendar is produced for students. The activities take place during Lunch breaks and 3-4pm. Details of the enrichment activities can be found here.
To support students in evaluating their current aspirations and provide support and guidance that will enable them to make informed choices about the opportunities available to them, all students will take part in an ‘MyAspire survey each term. Information will be collated by your child’s form teacher who will support and guide your child through throughout the year. This information will form part of your discussions with your child’s form teacher during parent’s evenings.
For the first few weeks of the year, the enrichment activities run as taster sessions, and students may ‘try out’ different sessions. This will enable students to find an activity that they enjoy and can get real benefit from participating in.
The MyAspire platform also generates a record of achievement containing the variety of activities that they have participated in. They can add details of awards, educational visits, and other experiences outside of the academy to their record of achievement.
