Head Boy and Girl Welcome All New Students

Our Head Boy and Head Girl are delighted to write a message of support welcoming all of our new students that are starting their secondary school journey at ICA this September:

"On behalf of the students, I wanted to say how excited we are for you to join us in September.

"Before then, the summer induction day is a great time to find out more about life at our school and make new friends. You’ll hear about all the things you can expect at ICA, from your timetable to all the extracurricular activities on offer. Whether you like sport, science or art, there is something you’ll love.

"The best thing about our school is the overall support and friendliness of the teachers. Staff expect you to work hard, but that’s because they want the best for us and that’s what makes the school day enjoyable.

"My advice for making the most of it is to focus on your lessons and throw yourself into wider school life so that you can be proud of everything you’ve achieved by Year 11."

Harry, Head Boy

"Hello and welcome to ICA! Five years ago I was nervously looking ahead to starting secondary school just like you might be. Now that I’m in Year 11, I can tell you how much there is to look forward to.

"As a close-knit school, you’ll make friends quickly and be made to feel at home. You’ll get to learn from so many wonderful teachers, who can help you when you need it most.

"As students, we take lessons seriously but I’ve really enjoyed seeing the rewards of all my hard work. We like to take pride in our school and celebrate everyone’s successes – whether that is within our year groups or as part of the wider school.

"I have so many moments I treasure from my time here and I’m sure you will too."

Cassidy, Head Girl
