The vision of the SEND department is to have a fully inclusive school. We operate a recently updated Assess, Plan, Do and Review strategy. The main focus is to support the quality first teaching and give support and interventions for students who require it.
The support we offer includes literacy and numeracy, as well as social interventions, both therapeutic and at social times for our students. We also have access to specialist professionals such as Educational Psychologists, the Learning Support Service, and specialist teachers for visually and hearing-impaired students.
We are constantly developing ourselves as a department to be able to offer our students more and more support through staff training and buying in resources. We have also worked towards building very positive relationships with our parents, so our students are able to reach their full academic potential.
