Social Action Group Students Win Top National Award

We are incredibly proud to share that Irlam and Cadishead Academy's Social Action Team has been named Student Team of the Year at United Learning’s prestigious Best in Everyone Awards, held at Oxford Town Hall on Friday.

This national recognition celebrates the amazing work our students have done through the ‘Pulse of Hope’ initiative – a campaign they launched to raise funds for a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for our sports facilities. As part of this, the Team has delivered CPR training to fellow students and worked with local community stakeholders to organise fundraising events.

Congratulations to the outstanding team members: O'Lexa, Scarlett, Jayden, Lexi, Olivia, Jessica, and Kirsty for their dedication and leadership.

Kirsty, a member of the Social Action Team, said:

“I’m so glad I joined the Team because of the experiences and opportunities we’ve had. Winning the award is such a great accomplishment—we’re all really proud of it.”

The Best in Everyone Awards celebrate the standout achievements of students and staff across United Learning schools nationwide. We are delighted that our students’ passion, leadership, and community spirit have been recognised on such a big stage.

Congratulations to every member of the Social Action Team – you have made our school and community proud!
